Let's learn the benefits of alternate nostril breathing and learn step by step how it's done.



Alternate Nostril Breathing is a wonderful breathing technique that helps regulate the nervous system, can lower blood pressure, strengthens lungs, and lowers fear & anxiety.


Directions

  1. Begin in a comfortable seated position.

  2. Exhale completely, then use your right thumb to cover your right nostril.

  3. Inhale deeply through your left nostril.

  4. Use your right ring finger to cover your left nostril.

  5. Release your right nostril and exhale through that side.

  6. Inhale deeply through your right nostril and cover your nostril with your thumb.

  7. Uncover your left nostril and exhale completely through that side.

  8. Continue this cycle 3-4 times.
